I am so shocked and saddened by Roger Rowe’s death! He was my 5th grade teacher when the RSF school was held in what is now the association building. He was a towering presence in my childhood…strict, fair and funny! I always admired him and have always been glad to see him when I come back to the Ranch every summer to visit my mother Ruth Godley. I’ll be sorry not to see him this summer.
Ive been a teacher myself for 40 years and live in Italy. I will light a candle for him in my favorite church in Milan, Santa Maria delle Grazie, where the Last Supper of Da Vinci is kept. Some teachers just leave a special imprint on you.
